It is a pleasure for us organising the 6th International Conference on Retroviral Integration, which will be held the 18th – 21st September 2017 in Bordeaux. No doubt that the meeting will be a great success thanks to your scientific contribution. As you know the meeting covers all aspects of retroviral integration from fundamental to medical sciences. It is also extended to integration systems apart from retroviruses such as retrotransposons for example.
Bordeaux, located in Southwest France at the Garonne River, is a tourist area but the local government strongly supports science and scientific events. By reason of its magnificent classical and neoclassical architecture with nearly no stylistic changes for over two centuries the town center of Bordeaux is part of the UNESCO’s world heritage.
As some of you may have heard Bordeaux is also renowned for its wine, which is grown on a total vineyard area of over 120,000 hectares (460 square miles). The wines do not only include the well-known dry red wine but also dry and sweet whites, and also (in much smaller quantities) rosé and sparkling wines.
You will find further suggestions for sightseeing in and around Bordeaux later on this page. We can ensure that you will not regret if you stay some more days for discovering the region.
For the discovery of Bordeaux we invite you for a virtual visit in 3D by Google Earth.
Hoping to welcome you in Bordeaux soon,
